Route 66 and Grand Canyon Railroad
The drive through the historical Route 66 from Las Vegas, NV to legendary Williams, Arizona, with a colorful downtown, is like stepping back in time. There are old cars on display, a soda shop, 50's style gas stations, diners, local wine, and of course Route 66 signs and leftover ads from its heyday. Williams, AZ is the home of the Grand Canyon Railway that takes you to the National Park. On the ride we enjoyed oversized, reclining seats, picture windows, fruit, pastries, juice, coffee, champagne, strolling cowboy musicians and-wait for it- armed bandits on horseback who boarded and demanded the contents of our wallets.
The journey is a total of 2 hours and during this time keep your eyes peeled for wild life because the landscape is full of them! Look out for deer, bald eagles, California condors, and more!
